  • 2024 Zeta Pi Research / EBP Grant

    Zeta Pi will award up to $2000 to a current member advancing nursing science. The award will be presented at our Spring Induction Ceremony, which will be held on April 11, 2024.

  • Spring Meeting and Social Event

    Good morning, Zeta Pi members,

    Due to some circumstances with this week's weather and other unforeseen issues, we regretfully have to postpone our Spring Meeting for this evening. 

    We are planning to reschedule the meeting for April 18 in hopes that a later date will give everyone ample time to arrange their schedules so we can all meet and have an educational evening along with some fun. 

    We will send out an updated flyer with a registration link very soon, so please be on the lookout for that information. We hope to see you all at the meeting or one of our other events.

    We planned a fall meeting with a presentation and social event in December. Unfortunately, we will have to reschedule that event after the holidays due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • Chapter Key Award

    Great news! Our Chapter received the prestigious Chapter Key Award for the sixth time during the Sigma's Biennial Convention in San Antonio, Texas. Our president Gina Rhodes and president-elect Timothy Joya accepted the award.

  • Chapter Key Award

    We are excited to announce that Zeta Pi will be awarded the Chapter Key Award at Sigma's 47th Biennial Convention this year in San Antonio!

    The purpose of the award is to honor those chapters that excel in chapter-related activities, and we are very honored that our Zeta Pi chapter has been selected for this award six times now!

    Congratulations to everyone for your accomplishments and hard work to make this chapter prosperous, change lives, and advance healthcare and the nursing profession!

    Dr. Padma Ramaswamy was selected to attend the Convention in person, and Dr. Brittany Rhoades will attend virtually.


    Sigma President Ken Dion, PhD, RN, MSN, MBA, FAAN challenged us to Be Bold throughout this biennium, and the two of you responded to the President's Call to Action, making great strides to advance nursing practice and healthcare.

    Zeta Pi will have a team at the March of Dimes Walk on April 23. Our team, UTHealth CSON Sigma Theta Tau Zeta Pi, is part of the movement to create positive change for moms and babies everywhere, especially those most at risk.

    With preterm birth and maternal death rates continuing to rise, we’re committed to raising funds so every family gets the best possible start. And you can help us.

  • Zeta Pi’s Spring Induction

    You are invited to Zeta Pi’s Spring Induction to be held here at the Cizik School of Nursing on May 10th.  5-7pm.  If you are a member of Zeta Pi your reception fee will be free.  All others are $25.  You may pay at the door. 

    If you would like to be a member of Zeta Pi, please let me know and contact STTI (if a member of another chapter) to either become a member, transfer your membership or have a dual membership.
